Caroline Kovatch, MHC-LP
Psychotherapist & Child Centered Play Therapist
About Me
I am a dedicated and compassionate therapist with a passion for connecting and supporting the emotional well-being of children, adolescents, and young adults. I create nurturing spaces in which young minds can explore, develop skills for success, and express and appreciate their true selves.
My Approach
I am passionate about creating a space for ALL children to feel truly heard and seen through Child-Centered Play Therapy. I take a person-centered and holistic approach to treatment, meaning that I consider the many factors that can impact a your functioning and trust your inner wisdom to guide our therapeutic journey.
My approach is rooted in empathy, with the goal of building a trusting relationship with both the child and family with whom I work. My goal is to foster collaboration and teamwork so that together, we can help children develop the tools they need to navigate life’s complexities. Bringing your child to therapy can be stressful, and I am deeply honored to work with your family. Practically speaking, I am passionate about incorporating trauma-informed care in therapy, and I love working with children with neurodivergence. Together, we will use play, creative arts, and directive approaches like DBT and CBT as a way to reach your therapeutic goals!
In addition, I work with adolescents, college students, and young adults, utilizing directive approaches like Dialectical and Cognitive Behavior Therapies (DBT/CBT) to support anxiety, depression, self-esteem and confidence, transitions, trauma, and related challenges.
