Expressive Arts Therapist
About Me
My goal is to help you develop creative skills, renew your sense of adventure, and build self esteem. I believe in the importance of our mind-body connection and the healing nature of self expression and communication through art making.
My Approach
Expressive arts therapy is a multi disciplinary support approach that focuses on our desire to shape our world—through music, theater, poetry, dance, or other artistic modality—as a tool to help create change within. I believe that an active arts based therapeutic experience can provide an opportunity to express emotion in appropriate and positive ways.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults, as well as those facing life threatening illness related crises. I specialize in treating siblings of children with special needs, mothers in the postpartum period, and healing professionals experiencing burnout, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma. I also provide arts based grief and bereavement support.
